An 8-Step Strategy about Setting Goals and Achieving Them: A Motivational video

An 8-Step Strategy about Setting Goals and Achieving Them
If you usually plan to do many things and end up doing nothing,
if you engage in many tasks and never complete any of them,
or if you have many things in mind but you don’t know which one to start with or how to begin,
then you don’t know how to set goals or how to achieve them.
I think you need the 8-step strategy, which will certainly help you to set goals for your life and help you achieve them as well.
One of the fatal mistakes most people do when they set goals for their life is that they look for the main trends, easy ways or quick profit.
What is wrong about these easy, trendy or money-making goals is that they are mostly based on luck or may not be suitable for all people.
So, the first thing to do is to search for what makes you excited and motivated.
It should fit your skills or at least you can learn the necessary skills to achieve it.
Jeff Bezos for example made a dramatic change in his education from theoretical physics to computer science.
He also did another paradigm shift when he followed his passion and decided to start his own business in selling books online although all his friends were sure he would fail.
He made use of all the skills he gained from his work experience. And here is the result: he is the richest person on the planet.
When you choose your goals, you should also determine if you are serious about them and if they will make you a more successful person.
Also, you should make sure that your goals are SMART.
S stands for specific, i.e., well-defined and well-structured.
M stands for measureable, e.g. you should set criteria such as a date, a level or price you wish to achieve to make your goals more realistic and concrete.
A stands for attainable. Some people set ambitious goals, yet unachievable because of their nature or the surrounding environment.
In other words, you should be wisely ambitious to avoid great disappointment.
R stands for relevant, i.e., you should set goals that are relevant to your skills, education and the successful person you wish to be.
T stands for timed because you cannot set goals and make action plan to achieve them without being time-bound.
And as Benjamin Franklin said: “by Failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”
Now after you’ve set your SMART goals, you should write down an action plan.
In this plan, you divide your goals into stages and steps that end up by accomplishing what you aspire to.
Another point is to arrange these goals according to your priorities and review this plan regularly.
It’s also no problem to modify it when necessary.
One important thing to help you achieve your goals is to change your lifestyle and daily routine.
This will result in a good time management and adherence to the deadlines in the action plan.
Another crucial thing is to have patience and stick to the time-limit of your plan.
You should always focus on the end line and dream of crossing it. This will help you go back on track if derailed.
And the last point in this strategy is to set big goals
because big goals will make a different person of you whom you will amazingly admire.
And as Les Brown, the famous American motivational speaker and author, put it "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars."
